Easy Filing Steps for Your Tax Return
Getting Started
The tax return preparation page (see Figure-1) contains a few areas that you should get familiar with before you start preparing any tax return.
1. Tax preparation tool bar
The tool bar contains various function buttons for tax return preparation purpose, namely, Add return, Save, Review, Net/ReFILE, Print, Payment, AutoFill return, Express NOA, Addr & DD, Delete form, Delete return.
2. Tax return selection and (tax form) navigation
Let you select the tax return to work on and switch tax forms/worksheets to prepare the selected tax return.
3. Misc convenience links
Located at the top right corner of the page are various links of EachTax.com web site pages, namely, "home", "privacy policy", "contact us", "help" and "sign out". The "EMail a friend" link right below is for your convenience to tell a friend about us.

Tax Preparation
NetFile and Print functions will only be enabled if you have purchased sufficient number of tax returns. You can always purchase more tax returns using the Payment button.
Tax Return Selection and Form Navigation
Select tax return to work on:
The TaxReturns drop down selection contains all the tax returns you have prepared in your account. You can use it to select the tax return to work on.
Switch tax forms/worksheets:
Right below the TaxReturns drop down selection, is a list of links to various tax forms and/or tax preparation worksheets used in the current tax return. You can use these links to switch tax forms/worksheets to prepare the current tax return.
You can also quickly switch to a particular tax form or worksheet by using the Form Lookup drop down selection that is located towards the bottom of the navigation area.
Note that various fields on each tax form/worksheet may be linked to fields on other tax forms/worksheets if their values are calculated from the other. You can navigate to different forms/worksheets by double click on those navigatable fields, e.g., double click on Line 428 of T1 form will take you to your provincial 428 form.
First Time Sign In
When you sign into your EachTax.com account for the first time, you can start preparing tax returns for yourself or your family by clicking on the Add Return button located in the middle of the page. This will take you to the Identification page for you to fill out the personal information for the person that the tax return is to be prepared. Make sure that the personal information on the Identification page are entered correctly. Once entered, these data cannot be modified unless you delete the tax return.
NetFILE
NetFILE is an electronic tax-filing service that lets you do your personal taxes online and send your income tax and benefit return directly to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). When done preparing your tax return, please click the Net/ReFILE button on the top navigation bar and follow the instructions to NetFILE it to CRA. Note that there are some types of tax returns that cannot be submitted to the CRA electronically through NETFILE. For example, you cannot use NETFILE to file your tax return if:
ReFILE
ReFILE is a CRA online service that can be used to transmit an adjusted return to the CRA if it meets certain requirements and is not subject to any exclusions. ReFILE lets you change the same lines on a return as Change my Return (CMR) in My Account. When done amending a previously NetFiled tax return, please click the Net/ReFILE button on the top navigation bar and follow the instructions to ReFILE it to CRA.
